I went to law school at Seton Hall University in Newark, New Jersey.
I decided to go to law school because at a very young age my favorite TV show was L.A. Law, and that idea of being a lawyer always stuck with me. Later, while I was in college, I took a constitutional law class and that interest kept growing. That ultimately led me to law school.
After graduating, I clerked for a judge. That experience was invaluable because it teaches you how judges evaluate cases. It helps you understand how to write for a judge and how to present arguments effectively in court.
I am admitted to practice in the Eastern District of New York, the Southern District of New York, the District Court of New Jersey, as well as the New Jersey Superior Court and the New York Supreme Court.
Other lawyers often describe me as easy to work with, but not someone you want to be on the bad side of. I tell my clients that I am not the type of lawyer who jumps up on the table and yells, but when it is necessary to be aggressive, they will not find anyone more aggressive in protecting their interests.
Responsiveness is extremely important at Lipsky Law. I make it a point to respond to every email, text message, and voicemail within twenty four hours.
Since completing my clerkship in 2004, I have focused exclusively on employment law.
Outside of advocating for my clients, I enjoy music. My favorite band is Phish, and I enjoy going to concerts. I also enjoy spending time with my daughter.
I am definitely a foodie. My wife and I enjoy trying different types of food, from Ethiopian cuisine to the newest steakhouse.
My clients often describe me as a good listener, a strong advocate, and someone who is always reachable.
When representing employees, I understand that they often need to speak outside of normal business hours because they may still be working for the employer. I make myself available to them, listen carefully to their concerns, and then advocate as aggressively as necessary on their behalf.
